5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Beware - may get a different version!, 19 Oct 2012 By  moomin - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?) This review is from: iPhone 5 Silicone Gel Case Clear Transparent (Electronics) Well, I just received my case today and granted the delivery was quick and the phone is clear with a frosted back. However, that's where the similarities with the advertised image ends. There is not a complete cut out as advertised for the volume buttons but an ill fitting cover. Also, I did not receive a cleaning cloth/screen protector as others have. I am annoyed with this seller because they have obviously run out of the original design but instead of declaring this they would rather subsitute a similar (but inferior) case than lose custom. Very frustrating for a buyer like me who bothered to research the exact case they wanted but what's the point if they substitiute it anyway?! So if you're considering purchasing, might be wise to ask the seller what they will actually be sending you! 29 of 29 people found the following review helpful Better than batteries!, 19 Jun 2011 By  MrE...? - See all my reviews    This review is from: Play and Charge Kit - Black (Xbox 360) (Video Game) Ok firstly i bought this when i started to run out of AA batteries, for those that don't know the XBox 360 wireless controller EATS AA Batteries for breakfast so i recommend you invest in a recharge kit which also doubles as a plug and play kit. The battery pack fits nicely into the controller and doesn't rattle, the cable is more than long enough and also fits nicely into the controller(the cable plugs into the USB port on your console). NOTE: this black version will work with the white controller. PROS: no more batteries, recharge and play at the same time, long cable for recharging, fits well into the controller CONS: Pack does not last as long as batteries but is quickly recharged, XBOX needs to be switched on to recharge the battery, battery can get hot while charging. VERDICT: despite it not lasting as long as two Duracell batteries on a full charge, its cheaper and you'll save yourself a fortune on batteries in the long run, it's well made and works with all 360 controllers, (one word of advise is to remove the battery from the controller while it's not in use as this does help prolong the charge in the battery!) RECOMMENDED for those who play 4+ hours a day Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you?  Report abuse | Permalink  Comments (5) 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful Awesome, 17 April 2011 By  Dan Hornsey (Hertfordshire, UK) - See all my reviews = Fun:  This review is from: Play and Charge Kit - Black (Xbox 360) (Video Game) Great product, absolute bargain, great build quality and fits in well with the theme of the Xbox 360 Slim (250GB) Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you?  Report abuse | Permalink  Comment (1) 57 of 63 people found the following review helpful A must have for your xbox 360 elite, 4 Nov 2010 By  Andy - See all my reviews = Fun:  This review is from: Play and Charge Kit - Black (Xbox 360) (Video Game) This play and charge kit is an absolute essential for your xbox 360 elite ,as this is the official one from microsoft you can rest assure that it is a good quality product and will last a long time ,also with this rechargeable battery pack you will no longer need any standard batteries inside your controller. All you do is place the black box (rechargable battery pack) into the back of your controller then insert the cable end with the small circle on it into the top of the controller then connect the other end of the cable into the usb port on the xbox 360 elite console (behind the small door on the right hand side of the power button) ,you can also keep the cable in the controller for continuous charge while playing. If you get a red light on the cable then it's charging and a green light means it's fully charged ,when it's fully charged you can remove the cable from the controller if you want to play a game wirelessly. Two slight downfalls to this product is the batteries overheating when charging ,i don't know how but for some reason at times (not all the time) the battery pack will start to heat up really badly when it's charging (it doesn't damage the battery pack) and this items packaging is that strong anti-theft packaging that slices your hand if you open it the wrong way. Customer Reviews

62 of 62 people found the following review helpful You know what it actually works!, 11 Nov 2010 By  John D. Jones "Welshbloke" (UK) - See all my reviews    = Fun:  This review is from: Xbox 360 250GB Console with Kinect Sensor: Includes Kinect Adventures (Video Game) Both the 360S and Kinect work extremely well. I did have a number of patches to install before everything was hunky dory and the recover gamertag in particular took an age. Patches and more Patches - Before you can use all the functionality you will have to download them and before you can use the Xbox itself you will need to wait for it to update itself. I did mine through an ethernet connection so do not have any experience on what dramas may befall somebody who needs to have a valid Wifi connected. Last FM, Sky, Zune, Kinect, Video Kinect and so on all need to be updated but not necessarily at the same time but you will certainly spend some time watching the progress bar. Kinect - This was very impressive and the first time you see yourselves on screen is a bizarre but very enjoyable moment and a bit like a chewing a fruit pastille I defy anyone not to start jigging about at this point and chuckling to oneself. Kinect Adventures included in the box. Lots of fun but nothing groundbreaking but definately eases you into the idea of Kinect very well. I think it would of been better to have Kinect Sports in the box. Also on the Kinect adventures disk are demos of Joyride, Dance Central and Fitness evolved. The fitness evolved demo is very limited but the Dance Central and Joyride demos are both good. One interesting point is how you interact with the games. With the Microsoft stuff it is hover wait for the ring to select, Dance Central uses the swipe mechanism. This is definately faster but also prone to accidental selection. On balance though I think I prefer the swipe method even with the potential accidental selection. Fitness evovled used a shorter selection time with a move to another button this also worked better then the long wait for the ring to select the function. Video Kinect is another application which you get with Kinect and it is actually rather good. I used it to call my daughter via her MSN account. The audio quality is excellent and the video quality is good but smears with the slightest movement. The Kinect sensor tracks you and auto zooms which is actualy pretty cool as well. We like Kinect Video and will use this over Skype. Lastly floor space. To play two player games you will need to have a good 7 to 8 foot between you and the Kinect sensor. For anything other than 2 player 6 foot will be fine. You mitigate this I suspect by positioning the sensor higher up maybe on a wall mount above and behind the telly if you have that type of set up. Space is a concern though and you should spend a little time ensuring you can rearrange the room to accomodate it. I suspect most people will be OK but with some of the funny shaped living rooms in the UK this will definately be a show stopper for some. All in all I am very happy with my purchase and only dock it the star due to space constraints and the odd niggle navigating. Skipper (UK) - See all my reviews    = Fun:  Amazon Verified Purchase(What is this?) This review is from: Xbox 360 250GB Console with Kinect Sensor: Includes Kinect Adventures (Video Game) As an existing owner of an older xbox 360 I wanted the new slim one anyway since it's meant to be "whisper quiet" instead of the hoover like properties of the old one that negated ever using it as any kind of media centre as MS would like you to believe. Review of Xbox Slim (250GB): ----------------------- Overall, I really like the new version - it's definitely quieter but NOT whisper quiet - especially when turning a disc. Install the game to the Hard drive (hence why I got the 250gb one) and it's a lot lot better. You can still hear it though when playing you don't notice. When playing a DVD and there is a quiet moment I do notice it - though barely - more than my old Sony DVD player this xbox is also replacing! I like the new front panel touch sensitive areas though when messing around with the cables at the back I have turned it on and open the tray by accident - it's that sensitive. Since my old DVD player what an cheap upscaling one with a HDMI connection and because I already had an Apple TV using the other HDMI I have always used the XBOX with component outputs - good enough but not quite as good as HDMI I am led to believe. So, with getting rid of the DVD player and using the xbox instead (as it's just about quiet enough now) I can use the HDMI and that is better. OVerall, it's a lot better connected at the back and also includes an internal wireless N network adaptor which is better than spending Subscribe to: Posts (Atom) Blog Archive ▼  2013 (181) ▼  March (76) Acer Aspire V3-771G 17.3-inch Laptop (Intel Core i...
